The BEST Marine Compatibility Chart

Miss Salt Tease Marine Compatibility Chart

Tank mate compatibility is crucial to a successful and healthy marine aquarium. Incompatible species will increase stress in the tank which could result in disease and considerable loss. Use the chart below as a guideline when selecting fish before making your fish selection
.
Remember, no guarantees can be made about the compatibility or incompatibility of any particular species of fish. Also, particular species within a group of fish vary in temperament and may not correspond with the guideline below.

Y = Yes, Generally Compatible
C = Can co-exist with Caution
N = No, Not Compatible

This website is by far the best I have seen where you can enter what size tank you have, gallons, and what fish or corals you wish to add to the tank to see if compatible.  This site is very informative and feel that if you are getting a saltwater tank or currently have one be sure to take a look at this site first before adding to your tank.

Pet(ing) Fish

Pet(ing) Fish

Now we all know that keeping our hands out of the tank is best for those IN the tank right?  Not with these fish.  I have a collection of videos found where petting thier pet fish is an everyday occurance!

Blood Parrot

This is Roland Giroux's blood parrot, and it loves playing with his owner's hand and getting massaged.

Oranda Goldfish

Oranda are arguably the most personable variety of goldfish ever bred.  There are a whole bunch of videos of orandas playing with people's hands.  This video of "Sweet Pea" is said to be the cutest found.

Flowerhorn

Some of you may have seen this viral video earlier this year.  A man is seen petting ... and tossing ... a playful male Flowerhorn.  It may look like animal abuse, but you can clearly tell the Flowerhorn is enjoying the flying fish treatment because it keeps darting back to the hand for relaunch.

What a wonder....  does anyone have any fish they interact like this with?  Would love to see videos or a picture if you have them!
